Test-Aankoop is a consumer organization in Belgium. This organization aims to represent consumer interests. The organization was founded in 1957 by Louis Darms, assisted by a number of volunteers, including Hugues du Roy de Blicquy, Jean Kufferath, and the university professors Guido Fauconnier and Willy Van Ryckeghem . During the first thirty years Test-Aankoop was led by Gilbert Castelain. He was succeeded in 1990 by Armand DeWasch and in 2016 by Ivo Mechels. In the meantime, the organization has grown into the multinational Euroconsumers that publishes consumer magazines in Belgium , Brazil, Italy , Portugal and Spain and the second largest in the world, after Consumers Union in the United States. These journals regularly publish results of comparative commodity research and designate a best sale that, according to the tests carried out, has the best quality-price ratio.
