Uppsalatidningen is a politically independent local newspaper in Uppsala, which is published as a free newspaper to almost all households in Uppsala and Knivsta. The magazine is published once a week, and was published for the first time on January 16, 2005. In many public places in Uppsala and surrounding areas you can also take the newspaper instead. Uppsalatidningen monitors society, culture, sport and entertainment from a local perspective. The edition is 94,000 copies, of which 81,000 are distributed directly to households every Thursday, 12,700 copies are distributed via newspaper stand and 300 copies are distributed addressed. The uptime magazine is part of the DirectPress chain. The magazine usually covers between 52 and 64 pages and contains about 50 percent ads (based on the total area of the newspaper), which makes the journalistic content comprehensive. The editorial content is completely independent of the ad content and focuses on local events and people in the Uppsala area.
