Description
"Where Construction Meets Technology"
The Construction Technology Festival (CTF) brings together digital leaders in the built environment to share real use-cases that design, build and operate projects faster, greener, smarter and safer. The Construction Technology Awards by CTF celebrate new approaches and best-in-class use of digital technology within the built environment. They look for outstanding examples of technology implementation, transformation and leadership that have helped design, build or operate projects better – be that through improved design, efficiency, cost reduction, sustainability, or improved workplace safety. Before that he was a senior civil servant, including roles as Director General for Innovation, Growth and Technology at the Department of Health; Director General, International Energy and Climate Change at DECC, and head of the Prime Minister’s Implementation Unit, working directly to then-PM David Cameron. Sam Stacey is Challenge Director – Transforming Construction at UKRI. He is leading the Transforming Construction challenge, a £170 million research and innovation investment, matched by £250 million from industry, to create new construction processes and techniques for building manufacture in the UK. Linked to the Construction Sector Deal, the programme includes funding for research, a new construction network and the creation of an active building centre and innovation hub.
