Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah,Sharjah Media Centre announced in September 2012, an unparalleled initiative which focuses on achievements in media and communication,namely the Government Communication Award.

The award, which aims to promote best practices in the field of government communication in the UAE and GCC, and comprises numerous categories for government communication practitioners.

The award also welcomes the participation of individuals and institutions active in the media and communication sector, in addition to media students of various specializations in order to motivate them towards the future.
