Description
HOW IT WORKS
SMSAwards invite any organization, including agencies, brands, networks, services, non-profits, etc., to enter their most innovative work on social media. To be eligible, the entry must have been at least partially live in 2017. Unless otherwise noted in the category description, spec work and incomplete work are not eligible.
The call for entries opens in February 15th, the closing date for entries is March 15 with the shortlist announced in early April 10. The winners will be revealed at the SMSAwards ceremony during the SOCIAL MEDIA SUMMIT 2017 Dubai on 19 April 2017.
FACTORS THE SMS AWARDS CONSIDERS
All entries are judged on creativity, innovation and overall effectiveness. You will have the opportunity to fill in the following information.
Objective: Describe the objectives and goals that lead to the implementation of your campaign or initiative. Up to 250 words.
Strategy: Describe your entry’s strategy, implementation and key features. Up to 500 words.
Results: Lay out the results of your work and how it successfully met your team’s objectives and goals. Up to 250 words.>
Entry image: Upload an image that best represents your entry. You may upload multiple images, but only the image selected as the cover photo will appear in your entry header. Your cover photo will be resized to 500 x 300. Images must be .jpg or .png, 5MB max size.
Additional information/links: You may include any additional information that will help judges evaluate creativity and effectiveness, including landing pages, social streams, videos, etc.
Team recognition: Give credit to all the people who contributed to your entry’s success!
JUDGING and JUDGING CRITERIA
All entries will be scored by the judges on these major criteria:
Creativity & innovation: Unique and innovative use of the platform, quality and originality of the creative execution, aesthetic impression, and overall creative impact of the approach, user engagement and social media experience.
Effectiveness & use of the platform: Overall effectiveness of the campaign - did it achieve the desired business objectives and results (be specific). Did the campaign or does the online presence use the capabilities of the platform to the best of it’s ability? Why is the entry best in breed?
SELECTING WINNERS, HONOREES AND FINALISTS
Winners, honorees and finalists will be determined by the average score submitted by the jury. Winners will only be chosen for categories with worthy entries. The jury's decision is final and neither the organizers nor the panel will enter into any correspondence about them.
