Key Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced financial controller to undertake all aspects of financial management, including accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures.

Desired Skills & Experience:

5+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred
Must be highly motivated and autonomous
Managing all finance and accounting operations
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Maintain an organized and orderly filing system of all accounting documents
Ensure the accuracy of the organization’s financial results and reports
Schedule payments for accounts payable promptly
Ensure prompt collection of accounts receivable
Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Team player
Good interpersonal skills
High attention to detail
Prepare projections annually and update monthly with actual figures
Developing financial strategy, including risk minimisation plans and opportunity forecasting
High-level financial reporting and analysis
Regular budget consolidation
Working closely with management or executive teams to share reports and analysis findings
Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures
Monitors and confirms financial condition by conducting audits; providing information to external auditors
Maximizes return, and limits risk, on cash by minimizing bank balances; making investments
Prepares budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; recommending plans
Achieves budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
Provides status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data
Complies with local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing financial reports; advising management on needed actions
Ensures operation of equipment by establishing preventive maintenance requirements and service contracts; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques
Payroll processing
Protects operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Skills

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration
Certified Public Accountant preferred
Thorough knowledge of accountancy
Superb mathematical skills
