Time Out Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi has renamed the four Darb toll gates, it has been announced.

The gates have been renamed in an effort to better align each toll gate with its exact location, allowing drivers to better identify the route. It’s part of an overall focus on supporting road users to navigate Abu Dhabi’s road network with greater ease, and to avoid confusion for drivers getting around the capital.

The renamed Darb gates are now known as:

- Al Maqta Toll Gate, located on Al Maqta Bridge
- Rabdan Toll Gate, located on Musaffah Bridge
- Sas Al Nakhl Toll Gate, located on Sheikh Zayed Bridge
- Al Saadiyat Toll Gate, located on Sheikh Khalifa Bridge

Last week, eagle-eyed motorists spotted what looks like two new Darb gates being constructed along the E11 between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. It could be a sign that Abu Dhabi’s smart toll gates will soon be further expanded.
