The Mail on Sunday is launching a 40-page lifestyle supplement that will combine new features with existing favourites from the paper.
The supplement, which will be called Life, seeks to pull together the paper’s lifestyle offering in a convenient package in the middle of the paper.
It will debut on Sunday 14 January and will feature real-life stories, celebrity exclusives, family advice and style trends, with revamped health, travel, homes and gardens, motoring, and food and drink sections. It will also include four pages of puzzles.
Some columnists to appear in Life previously appeared in the paper’s Event magazine, including Chris Evans on cars and Olly Smith and Tom Parker-Bowles on wine and food.
Event will continue to run and focus on arts and entertainment coverage, TV listings and celebrity interviews. The paper’s You magazine will remain unchanged following the launch of Life.
Life will also feature high profile guest writers including Gordon Ramsay, Penny Lancaster, Jo Wood and Dr Michael Mosley, the inventor of the 5:2 diet.
Geordie Greig, the editor of The Mail on Sunday, said: "The new Life section has been designed to help our three million readers live their lives to the full, engaging them with inspiring features and columns that reflect their busy and varied lives.
"We’ve listened to what they want and we’re now bringing some of our best-loved columnists and regular features together with a selection of exciting new elements, all in one freshly-designed pull-out section that will appeal both to our loyal readers and to advertisers."
The Mail on Sunday’s sports pages will move to the back of the paper to accommodate the central Life supplement.
