The growing entertainment scenes of Abu Dhabi just got another enhancement as a new entertainment venue comes to the capital— Theatre by Erth.
Formerly an Armed Forces Officers Club and Hotel, the venue is being developed in collaboration with Outside The Box Events—the company that fused the dramatic with the aquatic aboard Dubai’s Theatre by QE2.
The space that is due to open in October, is a 631-seater theatre that will bring all-inclusive leisure and dining facilities, as well as build on a development to create meaningful and memorable experiences for visitors.
The Officer’s Club, inaugurated in 1997, was originally only open to members of the UAE Armed Forces and their families, but in 2003, it opened its doors to the public with what it was presently known— Armed Forces Officers Club and Hotel.
“Our investment in Theatre by Erth is intrinsically linked to the hospitality that Abu Dhabi takes pride in providing,” shared Shaikha Al Kaabi, chief executive of Erth, adding, “Theatre by Erth will expand on Erth’s comprehensive leisure and dining facilities, as well as build on the brand's ‘legacy’ to create meaningful and memorable experiences for visitors and the Abu Dhabi community to engage in.”
While the door to the theatre is yet to be opened to the public, the venue is offering a sneak-peek with shows like Abba Reunion, Alice in Wonderland, and Meet The Beatles. However, the venue has yet to reveal when the performances will take place.
Along with a large seating capacity, the theatre has a resort, ballroom, and recreational facility offering a range of bespoke hospitality, catering, and event services. The venue also has more than 1200 parking spaces.
