As the number of Covid-19 cases continues to decline, Abu Dhabi begins to reopen gradually, allowing the travellers to come. While residents of many countries may still not be welcomed in the region, some more countries have been added to Abu Dhabi’s ‘Green List.’
In an updated list, passengers arriving from these destinations will be exempted from mandatory quarantine measures after landing in Abu Dhabi. The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) has updated its list of green list countries.
Though the passengers do not have to go through mandatory quarantine measures after landing, they will be required to undergo PCR testing upon arrival at Abu Dhabi Airport.
As of May 23, countries like Australia, Azerbaijan, Bhutan, Brunei, China, Cuba, Germany, Greenland, Hong Kong (SAR), Iceland, Israel, Japan, Kyrgyzstan, Mauritius, Moldova, Morocco, New Zealand, Portugal, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, Tajikistan, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, and Uzbekistan are on Dubai’s Green List.
Earlier, the country has also said that it will enhance its border with Dubai with specific procedures for tourists to make travel easier between the two emirates.
The decision to welcome tourists from these countries came in after the United Arab Emirates administered enough COVID-19 vaccine doses. Abu Dhabi, one of the most popular tourist destinations, especially with its strict safety guidelines and ensuring quick vaccinations for the majority of the residents, making it easier for travellers to visit the region.
