Amazon has partnered with a Singapore based non profit organization Blessings in a Bag (BIAB), to improve the lives of children and youth in need. The e-commerce giant, Amazon has pledged S$10,000 in sponsorship and in-kind donations to Blessings in a Bag as part of the partnership.
It is also inviting members of the public to donate to the non-profit as well by purchasing items that BIAB needs through their wish list on Amazon.sg for less privileged children aged between 6 and 16 years old. The wish list feature available on Amazon.sg is designed to make it easy for people to donate to BIAB by specifying what items and quantity are needed, the non-profit’s delivery address for the purchase.
“This holiday season, we are pleased to collaborate with Blessings in a Bag on the wishlist initiative to support less privileged children in a simple and straightforward manner,” said Henry Low, country manager for Singapore at Amazon Singapore.
“We invite the public to join us in delivering smiles to the children in this season of giving, and all non-profit and charity organisations to try out Amazon’s wish list feature for in-kind donations.
Amazon had recently surprised hundreds of charities – which support causes from STEM education, to homelessness, hunger, disaster relief, youth organizations, sustainability and more – across the U.S. by fulfilling products requested on each of their AmazonSmile Charity Lists. Amazon is donating hundreds of thousands of items to charities from their AmazonSmile Charity Lists through the end of the year to ensure they have what they need to round out the holiday season, and to get a jump start on the new year.
