JEDDAH: Arab News has launched a revamped version of its website as part of an ongoing transformation of the Middle East’s leading English-language newspaper. A design overhaul of the main portal page was unveiled this week, with a clearer layout intended to showcase the newspaper’s strong output of stories from the Arab world and beyond.
Opinion, world news and business reports are all showcased prominently in the new website design.
The site also highlights a ‘Spotlight’ section featuring key issues, including the newspaper’s special coverage of the US presidential election.
It complements the newspaper’s already strong social-media presence across a number of platforms including Facebook and Twitter. The new version of the site is currently in its beta, or test, stage. Further enhancements of the Arab News portal – available at www.arabnews.com — will be made going forward. The revamp is part of the newspaper’s
ongoing restructuring process, which includes a stronger digital output and more of an international focus.
The newspaper, the Middle East’s leading English-language daily, recently promoted Hani Hazaimeh to Senior Managing Editor, and Siraj Wahab to Deputy Managing Editor. Arab News is part of the Saudi Research and Marketing Group (SRMG) — the Middle East’s largest integrated publishing company.
