Mashable: ‘Why do we care,’ she asks.
Ariana Grande is putting an end to any plastic surgery speculation surrounding her once and for all. The global popstar, 31, denied she’d gone under the knife while taking Vanity Fair’s infamous lie detector test with her Wicked co-star Cynthia Erivo. When asked if she has made any changes to her physical appearance through boob job, fox eye lift, chin lift, BBL and more, Ariana set the record straight by nodding no.
The lie detector technician determined Ariana was “truthful” in her answers which left the God Is A Woman songstress delighted. “This is the best day of my life. Take that, you YouTube people," she taunted online haters before confirming she isn’t against people who undergo cosmetic surgeries.
“I’ve had fillers in various places and Botox, but I stopped like four years ago, and that is the extent,” Ariana admitted adding, “But (I’m) also like in full support of all people who do these things, work, whatever makes women, men, non-gender conforming people feel beautiful should be allowed. Why do we care?”
Ariana Grande is gearing up for the release of Wicked, based on the broadway musical of the same name, which narrates the story of two witches of Oz: The misunderstood Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo) and the popular Glinda (Ariana Grande). They meet while attending Shiz University and develop an unexpected friendship. But can their bonds withstand everything from political corruption to a love triangle is the question of the hour.
The highly anticipated musical adaptation is locking horns with Ridley Scott's Gladiator II on November 22. The stage musical, based on a Gregory Maguire novel, has been split into two parts for its big-screen debut. Wicked Part Two is expected to hit theatres in November 2025.
