Dubai Expo is set to host 25 million visitors and innovators from across the globe after the event was rescheduled for better times due to the pandemic. The major tech event in the new normal promises to offer a glimpse of digitization in almost every walk of life including art, with the arrival of a 3D printed replica of Michelangelo's David.

Inventors from different countries are gearing up to reveal solutions for sustainable growth and smart services, along with Dubai unveiling its own offerings which include upgrades to an app for upskilling workers. Joining European peers from France, Italy, and Britain, Austrian firms have also arrived in the Middle East's smart hub to unveil infrastructure solutions for a futuristic city.

In line with 3D printed art and an AI which writes poetry, the Austrian pavilion will also have a creative touch, with a glass sculpture that'll display a hidden Dubai Expo logo at every 90-degree rotation. The artist Thomas Medicus created 1000 hand-cut shards of glass, which were painted before being lined up to complete the intricate artwork.

Coming back to tech for smart living, Austrian company PORR will flaunt a tunnel which it developed for Dubai Municipality to help channel stormwater out of the city. The tunnel will tackle flooding during extreme weather by draining water from 40% of the city, which will end up at a pumping facility by Dubai's coastline.

Apart from the crucial addition to public infrastructure, another Austrian firm will introduce its fog tech to help visitors breathe free. As the hottest gadgets in the world of tech are displayed at the event, Raintime will bring down temperatures by 10 degrees Celsius with its high-pressure fog systems.

The mechanism can change the environment without increasing humidity, and also uses less power than refrigeration devices. Apart from cooling at malls, theme parks, and hotels, the solution can also remove dust particles while controlling odor in the surroundings.

To enhance the pavilion's pitch for sustainability, Austria-based Helioz will showcase its eco-friendly water disinfection tech, which can ensure clean drinking water for parts of Asia and Africa including India.
