Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan recently suffered a heat stroke and was reportedly hospitalized at KD Hospital in Ahmedabad, India, due to dehydration.

With the Indian Premier League (IPL) season almost nearing its end, the soaring heat in India got to one of our favorite cheerleaders, SRK —quite literally!

On Wednesday, May 22, 2024, Shah Rukh Khan made headlines for his health garnering concerns from his fans.

According to Siasat Daily, SRK, who co-owns the Indian Premier League (IPL) team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) had been in Ahmedabad city for the last few days for his team's qualifier match.

A close friend of the “Badsghah of Bollywood” informed Indian news outlet, Bollywood Hungama that Shah Rukh Khan is doing fine and will be returning home to Mumbai from Ahmedabad today. “SRK refuses to take holidays unless forced. This is God’s way of telling him to slow down. Standing around in the intense heat for the IPL matches has taken a toll,” said the friend.

“Arrey yaar main toh hot hoon hi. Yeh thoda zyada ho gaya,” SRK, considered one of the most handsome actors also humorously commented after the heat stroke.

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan’s manager, Pooja Dadlani, also shared an update on his health via social media platform X/ Twitter on Thursday afternoon. “To all of Mr Khan’s fans and well-wishers – he is doing well,” she wrote. Thanking all the fans and well-wishers, she added, “Thank you for your love, prayers and concern.”

The Indian actor, 58, is also expected to fly to Chennai for the finale of IPL 2024.
