The 2018 edition of CABSAT will take place on January 14-16 rather than its usual March spot, show organiser Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) has told exhibitors.
Syed Ali, sales manager, exhibitions and events management at DWTC, said that many exhibitors had voiced their concerns about CABSAT’s traditional March slot clashing with other major international shows.
“[...] Over the last few weeks we have put enormous pressure on our colleagues in venues to open up availability in January,” Ali said in an email to exhibitors. “We have now managed to secure new dates: 14-16th January 2018. I firmly believe this will future-proof the show from the inevitable shifts in timing that affect events taking place at other international venues. Better still, as Ramadan continues to encroach and impact on the spring calendar we can commit to these January dates for future years.”
The show will be held in Za’abeel Halls 1-6. Ali said DWTC is “reasonably certain” that 2700 new multi-story car parking spaces will open opposite these halls in time for the event in January.
“These new halls have also benefited from a multi-million dollar investment in infrastructure including service road, LED signage, restaurants and cafes both on the concourse and within the halls,” he said.
