MEC MENA has lost its account with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles following a global media pitch that saw the account go to Publicis Media in EMEA and Asia-Pacific.

The media planning and buying account is now being handled by Starcom in 30 markets.

The agency swiped the account from WPP’s Maxus in most of the markets except the Middle East, where  the account has been handled by MEC for a number of years.

Publicis Media Middle East was unable to comment at the time of going to press.

The brand’s creative account remains with Publicis in the Middle East, though Leo Burnett, also part of Publicis Group, has the creative account in other markets.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is the world’s seventh largest carmaker by volume and has Fiat, Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge and Alfa Romeo among its brands.
