Oman Avenues Mall (OAM) has announced plans for a significant expansion, which will include a US$20 million 15-screen Cinepolis multiplex to be completed in Q1 2019, among other entertainment and retail facilities, as reported by the Times of Oman.
The Cinepolis multiplex which will be the entertainment anchor for OAM will be spread over 4,396-sqm, is projected to open in late 2018.
As per reports in the latter half of 2017, Cinepolis is expanding into the Middle East and has set up a beachhead in Dubai with former Cinepolis India expansion chief Ashish Shukla at the helm. Plans are reportedly underway to raise a number of screens in the Gulf states of Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates in 2018.
