Mashable: Al Nassr lost 3-2 to Kawasaki Frontale in the semi-finals of the AFC Champions League on April 30. While many had high expectations from Cristiano Ronaldo, he didn't score a goal in the match.
Following the defeat, Ronaldo took to social media to pen an emotional note. "Sometimes the dream has to wait. I'm proud of this team and everything we gave on the pitch. Thank you to all the fans who believed in us and stood by us every step of the way. Your support means the world," he wrote.

Ronaldo joined Al Nassr in January 2023. The footballer has scored 97 goals in 108 matches for the team since joining the Riyadh-based club. Overall, he has scored a record-breaking 934 career goals. Previously, he opened up about aiming for the 1000-goal mark, saying, "I'm not chasing 1,000. If it happens, perfect. If it doesn't happen, it doesn't happen."
