Mashable: 'They are not lucky.'
In the latest video shared on his YouTube channel, Cristiano Ronaldo called his former club, Real Madrid, the best in football history. Ronaldo spent 9 seasons at Real Madrid and won countless titles including four Champions League titles.
The Al-Nassr superstar rejected claims that Real Madrid is 'lucky' and revealed why he thinks it is the 'best club ever'. Ronaldo told Rio Ferdinand, "It's the kind of team, they don't rush under pressure. This is why most of the people say they are lucky. No, they are not lucky. They prepare for this kind of moment."
The five-time Ballon D'Or further added that Bernabeau has a 'different aura and the energy is different'. "When the big teams go there, they score a goal after 85 minutes, 90 minutes, the pressure is a lot. For me it's the best club ever in the history of football," added Ronaldo.
During the candid conversation, Ronaldo shared his thoughts on Mbappe's arrival and said, "I always say Real Madrid are going to be better. Mbappe is there now. I think Real Madrid will keep strong but I don't know if they will be better than last year." He further mentioned that the club has 'fantastic players' before adding that he believes they will be one of the 'best teams in the world'.
Recently, Ronaldo scored his 900th career goal during Portugal's Nations League match against Croatia. He got emotional after scoring the goal. The footballer is now aiming for his 1000th goal.
On the other hand, Ronaldo launched his YouTube channel in August, amassing a staggering 10 million subscribers within 24 hours. He currently has 59.9 million subscribers.
