The much-awaited and talked about event of Middle East –Dubai Expo 2020 is in its full swing of preparation. While countries from across the globe have been preparing for the mega event Denmark confirms its formal participation in the event.
Denmark aims to highlight the country’s potential during Expo 2020 Dubai as the pavilion is set to feature high-profile companies and focus on exports and investment.
Partnering with the Danish Business Council at the six-month global gathering, the Danish Government has come on board for the Expo 2020 Dubai. With other European nations, Denmark to joins in sharing their achievements with the world.
UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation and Director-General of Expo 2020 Reem Al Hashimy, received the confirmation of the country’s participation from Danish Ambassador Franz-Michael Mellbin who is also the Commissioner-General for Denmark at Expo 2020. He was appointed so at the International Participants Meeting (IPM) in Dubai that held last week.
With less than five months to go until the next World Expo opens its doors, businesses and organizations from across Denmark are being encouraged to take part in this unique opportunity to share with the world the best the country has to offer.
The Denmark Pavilion at the Expo will showcase the export and investment potential of the country along with its relations with the UAE. With Expo 2020 committing to bring people together communities and nations and to build bridges, Denmark is said to bring the best of what the country has to offer.
Director for European Affairs at the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Mohammed Al Shehhi, shared, “The need for nations from all corners of the world to unite with a common purpose to build a stronger, cleaner, safer planet has never been greater, and we are delighted to welcome the Danish Government on board, alongside our existing partners from the Danish Business Council. Our countries have a shared history, a love of culture, and strong trade links, which Denmark will be able to showcase to the world, and their participation will enrich the experience of millions of visitors to Expo 2020.”
Located at the Mobility District, the Denmark Pavilion will feature an 18-meter-tall observation tower and will host several high-profile Danish companies, including globally-recognized mobility experts. With the completion of the pavilion’s superstructure, the final fit-out is expected to be completed by the end of July.
