UAE, restaurants near you will soon serve meals that will be made by robot chefs.

Operators of Pizza Hut, Hardees, and KFC in the Middle East and North Africa, American Restaurants has teamed up with Miso Robotics to bring robot arms and machine employees into the kitchen.

Miso Robotics, the robotics company will test its robotic arm named Flippy 2 which uses artificial intelligence and machine learning, at the Wimpy restaurant in Dubai Mall.

Miso Robotics’ Flippy 2 doesn't get tired, can work non-stop, and will definitely not sweat into the dishes it prepares.

The testing phase is basically the first phase of the agreement. There will also be expansions in other American Restaurants in the upcoming months.

Flippy 2, being a customizable robot can perform numerous cooking tasks automatically in fast-food restaurants.

Flippy 2 can help create a more effective work environment by working on an entire fry station by itself as it uses AI vision and machine learning.

Melvin Michael, the brand director of Wimpy, in a statement, said, “American Restaurants’ partnership with Miso Robotics marks a significant milestone for the company as we strive to address shifting customer behaviours and preferences through innovative technological solutions.”

Chief executive of Miso Robotics, Mike Bell has said, “In the past year, we’ve announced partnerships with some of the largest brands in the US, and that momentum has led to us being pulled internationally to introduce our technology on a global scale.”

The Wimpy restaurant was founded in the year 1934 in Indiana and now has 17 locations in the MENA region.
