Dubai Police has launched a ‘Summer Without Accidents’ campaign as a part of a wider initiative to enable community awareness for safety and security practices against summer emergencies while driving. The UAE has kick-started a free car inspection service until the end of August to eradicate any mishap amid scorching temperatures.

On Monday, July 8, Dubai Police announced the safety campaign on X, wherein a female officer highlighted what citizens need to do to avail the free service. “All you have to do is visit the nearest Auto Pro across the UAE,” says the officer in the footage. While sharing the update, Dubai Police stated, “For your safety, Dubai Police is offering a free car inspection service until the end of August. All private car owners can benefit from this service by visiting AutoPro centers located across all Emirates in the UAE.”

The car inspection covers about 10 parameters including AC and air filter, seat belt condition, wiper blades condition, windshield washer fluid, radiator hoses, battery health, engine oil and coolant condition, tyre pressure, fluid level, and lights.

In a subsequent post, the authorities also highlighted vehicles are prone to catching fires during summer, however, avoiding simple things can reduce the risk rate. “As temperatures rise in summer, there's an increased risk of vehicle fires due to various factors, including everyday items like perfumes and mobile phone chargers igniting fires at high temperatures,” wrote Dubai Police.

Additionally, Dubai Police is also strongly campaigning to raise awareness against traffic adversaries.
