Mashable: TIME's name UAE minister Al Olama in Top 100 AI influential list

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice-President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai has expressed pride in Omar Al Olama, UAE’s Minister of Artificial Intelligence.

UAE minister Omar Al Olama who was appointed as UAE Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence in the year 2017 has been listed among Time Magazine’s 100 most influential people in AI.

The Dubai ruler has expressed his pride in seeing Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of Artificial Intelligence, listed among Time Magazine’s 100 most influential people in AI 2023.

A UAE minister Omar Sultan Al Olama has made it to Time magazine’s inaugural list of the 100 most influential people in AI 2023.

On Thursday, September 7, 2023, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum took to his X account, formerly known as Twitter and hailed Al Olama who became the world’s first in this field.

“Proud of every Emirati who has an achievement that raises the name of his country in front of the world,” Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum wrote on microblogging platform X. “Our youth are our most important resources with whom we compete and crowd the world,” the Dubai ruler added.

Omar Sultan Al Olama is the Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications of the United Arab Emirates.

The 33-year-old minister also tweeted that he is “deeply honored” to be featured in the Time’s list of 100 Most Influential People in Artificial Intelligence.” Proud to represent the Arab community and government leaders worldwide,” he added.
