Mashable: In case you haven't heard, Dubai is set to host its first-ever Snow Duathlon. When, you ask? Well, it's happening in June. Yes, you've read that right! You are just a few days away from experiencing an activity that can keep you cool in summer.

Get ready for Snow Duathlon: The Dubai Fitness Council and CRANK Dubai Fitness Studio have teamed up for this special event, which will take place on June 29, 2025, at Ski Dubai. This is the first time Dubai will be hosting a one-of-a-kind experience that will combine running and stationary cycling with Dubai's version of snow. Sounds exciting, doesn't it?

A multi-sport event: This is a multi-sport endurance event, combining running and cycling (or a similar activity like cross-country skiing). It usually consists of a running leg, followed by a cycling or skiing leg, and then another running leg, similar to a winter triathlon but with only two sports.

About the competition: The event will see competitors aged 13 to 60 face the ultimate fitness challenge. And guess what? The participants will have to undertake these activities in -4° temperatures, starting with a 5 km stationary bike ride and followed by a 3 km (three loops) or 5 km (five loops) run. The participants can complete either individually or in teams of two.

What will be the prize? The winner will receive a commemorative medal. The top three performers in each category will be recognised on the podium and awarded special prizes.
