Mashable: The gates of the Global village got closed on Saturday, May 7, and preparations are beginning for Season 27.
The season 26 of Dubai’s Global Village, the multicultural festival park, witnessed a record-breaking attendance with 7.8 million visitors from October 2021 to May 2022.
The official handle of Dubai’s Global Village took to Twitter to inform about this record feat achieved in the latest season.
On the success of the 26th edition, Bader Anwahi, CEO at Global Village, said that this season has been the most successful yet, firmly establishing it as the region's main multicultural family destination for culture, shopping, and entertainment, as reported by the ARN News Centre.
The gates of the Global village got closed on Saturday, May 7, and preparations are beginning for Season 27, which is scheduled to take place in October.
The people got to experience multicultural destination making it an perfect holiday destination, with 26 country pavilions representing 80 cultures, Carnival adventures, entertainment, fun-filled attractions and activities for guests of all ages as well as fireworks every night.
It may be noted that the the theme park was originally set to close for the season on April 10 but it was extended by almost a month, as it hosted special Ramadan shopping and activities.
It was the first time in its history that Eid Al Ftir was celebrated while providing guests with extended possibilities to tour different country pavilions. Visitors enjoyed the wonderful range of food from around the world, including street food, and discovering the fair's varied attractions.
As the season which operated for 194 days ended on good note, people are now anticipating the surprises and fun events that the next season will offer.
