Egypt’s Ministry of Tourism takes to social media to launch Winter 2022 campaign

The Ministry has as launched an online campaign —Sunny Christmas to promote the country’s top travel destinations for winter 2022.

As the holiday season is upon us, some of the countries have been promoting their top must-visit destinations in their region. Although the new coronavirus variant has kept countries on their toes, tourism is still on the list of many.

Similarly, Egypt’s Ministry of Tourism has come with a unique campaign to attract tourists for the holiday season. The Ministry has as launched an online campaign —Sunny Christmas to promote the country’s top travel destinations for winter 2022.

Attracting tourists from the UK, Germany, Ukraine, Italy, France, Russia, and the US, the campaign coincides with Christmas and New Year, making it a long weekend for many.

The campaign also aims to endorse domestic tourism and encourage Egyptians to spend their holidays, New Year and Christmas in Egyptian tourist destinations.

Taking to social media, the Ministry of Tourism has posted a video of Egypt’s beautiful tourism destination showcasing the archaeological and natural elements of Egyptian tourist destinations, including warm weather, scenery, ancient relics, and diverse tourist activities.

“The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, represented by the ETPB, launched a digital campaign ‘Sunny Christmas’ on social media platforms to promote the winter season 2022 in Egypt, UK, Germany, Ukraine, Italy, France, Russia, and the United States of America,” wrote the Ministry on Twitter.

The campaign was launched on popular websites and social media, including Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat and TikTok.

The ministry is keen to use modern promotional means to reach a larger number of people around the world, shared Lamia Kamel, assistant minister of tourism and antiquities for marketing and promotion.

Promoting tourism through social media using photos, videos and written content is an essential part of the ministry’s marketing strategy mentioned the ministry and that social media pages are inspiring travellers to discover Egypt.
