Emirati astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi captures astonishing footage of Cyclone Biparjoy over the Arabian Sea

Sultan Al Neyadi has urged people to “stay safe”

The Emirati astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi has shared footage of Cyclone Biparjoy from space.

The UAE-based astronaut recently shared astonishing footage of Cyclone Biparjoy as it grows in strength.

The footage shared by the Sultan of Space from the International Space Station shows the powerful storm over the Arabian Sea.

On Tuesday, June 13, 2023, the 42-year-old astronaut took to his official Twitter account to share phenomenal footage of Cyclone Biparjoy from the International Space Station.

Sharing a video clip of the tropical cyclone forming over the Arabian Sea, Sultan Al Neyadi wrote that the ISS provides a “unique perspective” on various “natural phenomena”.

The astronaut also shared that this could assist “experts on Earth” in monitoring the weather and urged everyone to “stay safe”.

Sultan Al Neyadi captured the growing hurricane over the Arabian Sea but could not show its center.

Meanwhile, Cyclone Biparjoy which reportedly means “destruction” is set to arrive in the Indian state of Gujarat on Thursday, June 15, 2023. The authorities in India and Pakistan have also started evacuating the low-lying areas.

The United Arab Emirates-based astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi is on the International Space Station (ISS) which is located at an altitude of 400 kilometers above the Earth for a six-month-long mission.

Since his arrival at the orbiting laboratory, the astronaut has been sharing images and videos of his experiments and achievements in space along with some phenomenal views of Earth.

The Emirati astronaut had previously shared amazing images and videos of Arab cities including Makkah, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan, Bahrain, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and many more.

Meanwhile, Sultan Al Neyadi became the Arab world’s first astronaut to walk in space on April 28, 2023.
