A haven for literature lovers in the Middle East, the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature will be up for next season and the star-studded line-up for 2022 has finally been announced.

The revealing event took place on Wednesday with an enthralling event of Expo 2020 Dubai at the Al Wasl Dome wherein a performance by Emirati singer Arqam, captured the spirit of the festival’s theme, ‘Here Comes the Sun’.
Author of Bridgerton, Julia Quinn, Chernobyl 1986’s author Serhii Plokhy and House of Gucci’s Sara Gay Forden and television show No Music at Al Ahmadi’s Mona Al Shammari were announced as the headliners of the Emirati Literature Festival.
The event, which is set to take place from February 3-12, 2022, will also see star animators Mohammed Saeed Harib (Freej) and Ken Arto (Demon Slayer) for the 2022 edition.
Other prominent names that are slated to participate at the festival include Gary Vaynerchuck, Indra Nooyi, Nadiya Hussain, David Walliams and Iman Mersal.
Promising a compelling line-up for next year, the event is set to feature renowned authors across fiction, business, science, art and design and children's fiction, among others.
With an array of literary workshops and debates, the majority of the sessions will take place at the festival’s new canal-side home at Dubai’s Habtoor City Hotels.
The literature festival will also see the much-anticipated launch of Omar Saif Ghobash’s first novel. Actor Ben Miller, who starred as Lord Archibald Featherington in Bridgerton, will also present his latest children’s book.
Other events include short-story readings, poetry, panel discussions on diverse topics from writing for cinema, women in education, the art and science of being a collector, and children’s storytelling in English and Arabic.
