From classical music to comedy, women will take centre stage with Late Nights @ Expo which is taking place on November 25 and 26 at Dubai’s Jubilee Park.
Musical events and concerts have been one of the major entertaining factors at the Expo 2020 Dubai and this weekend to amuse the spectators at the soiree is an all-female team of artistes.
From classical music to comedy, women will take centre stage with Late Nights @ Expo which is taking place on November 25 and 26 at Dubai’s Jubilee Park.
The two-day eclectic programme promises ardent performances from a range of talented women.
For the event, Serbia-born Aleksandra Krstic will be performing and will kickstart Late Nights @ Expo on November 25 with a soulful set. Starting music at the young age of eight, Krstic is known for her classical, jazz, funk, soul and pop music across Europe and, more recently, in the UAE. The multi-talented singer, songwriter, and piano player has also written music for MTV Adria and several films.
Another interesting show at this weekend’s gig is a comical demonstration put up by an Egyptian comedy band—Bahgaga. The team of five women are going to bring old Egyptian comedy to the Expo site with heritage songs. The band is also going to present some of their original pieces that tackle everyday issues with tongues firmly in cheeks.
Prominent folk and Sufi singer Sanam Marvi is also going to entertain the audience at the Expo with songs in Sindhi, Punjabi, and Balochi. Marvi made her live concert singing debut in 2012 with concerts in London, Paris, and New York singing alongside Hadiqa Kiani and Ali Zafar.
Late Nights @ Expo, the female edition is going to take place on November 25 from 10.30 PM GST at Jubilee Park. Entry is free for Expo 2020 ticket holders.
