Fifa president Gianni Infantino addressed the conference in a recorded video. He said that this is the most successful hospitality program with 240,000 hospitality packages being sold for the month-long tournament.
As per FIFA’s website, Hospitality tickets cost more than $34,300 per person for the semi-final matches and final. The tickets allow access to luxurious stadium lounges and some with free-flowing drinks.
Smith also said that Japan will be the first team that will arrive for the tournament on November 7, 2022.
Qatar is the smallest and the first Middle Eastern country to host the global showpiece tournament. Over 1.2 million visitors are expected to visit the country for the World Cup.
Due to limited accommodation in Qatar, thousands of fans are expected to stay in neighboring countries including the tourism hub, the UAE, and fly to Doha for matches.
