The company Deepbrain AI had bagged an award at the Future Stars Supernova Challenge during GITEX tech week earlier this month.
A rising demand for contactless services along with the challenge posed by e-commerce has prompted brick and mortar businesses in the Middle East to adopt a hybrid infrastructure, which incorporates innovative tech into traditional shops. The Emirates is already home to tech savvy retail stores, where people can use kiosks to select the products they need, skip queues as well as human contact, and walk out after completing payments digitally.
Kiosks offering touch-free services have also been installed at airports in the UAE and Bahrain, while similar interactive screens are making an appearance at shopping spaces across the region. One of the companies which impressed visitors and won a challenge for futuristic innovation at the GITEX tech week in Dubai this month, has now unveiled its intelligent kiosks in Silicon Valley.
Backed by smart conversational technology, the interactive service displays add a human touch to the digital consumer care mechanism, by actually speaking to people. Designed for stores which aren't manned by human beings, the AI Human solution also provides updates on discounts, promotional offers and new products added to the stock.
Also equipped to provide background information about the company, the kiosks built for Seven Eleven stores, increase efficiency of day to day operations by allowing employees to focus on more essential tasks at the space. The technology was born out of a need to enable hyper-realistic interaction between customers and the system, in the post-pandemic era, when social distancing is a priority.
In addition to the development of human-like AI models for better customer care, Deepbrain is known for patented tech which can speed up video production.
AI has also been introduced in smartphone apps developed in the UAE, where chatbots are equipped to come up with personalised responses based on a conversation with consumers, to address their unique issues. Kiosks which can boost the hospitality sector by facilitating check-ins without human interaction, are also being marketed in the Middle East.
