Keeping up with its Emirati neighbours, Saudi Arabia has also started building a smart city NEOM, which will be known for AI-backed data collection via surveillance. But in the run up to the much talked about mega project, households across the kingdom are becoming smart homes with solutions like intelligent meters and high-tech security cameras.
Recently the region has seen a large-scale deployment of innovative surveillance tools, which include facial recognition tech and computer vision to spot unusual behaviour. To bring these amenities integrated inside public safety infrastructures, to the doorsteps of Saudi residents, Ezviz has rolled out its outdoor camera with flexible motion.
The AI-powered security gadget, which can tilt and pan to maximise coverage, also flaunts capabilities to capture a panoramic view of a smart home's surroundings. The C8C is designed for monitoring every corner, and to keep an eye on every member of the family, thanks to 352 degree horizontal rotation and 95 degree vertical vision.
This device is armed with machine learning to go observe and detect threats, after which the AI even takes initiative to activate defences for warding off trouble.
Along with removal of blind spots to deliver a comprehensive footage, the C8C also uses microphones with noise cancellation so that every sound can be accurately detected. To provide round the clock protection without letting its guard down, the surveillance machine has colour night vision.
Cameras equipped with smart vision to identify human shapes, are also connected to apps, so that homeowners can continue to get live updates while they're away. For ensuring high speed connectivity to deliver glitch-free services, the tool comes with two WiFi antennas.
Other than smart households, the system can be a handy solution for shops, farms and factories too, since it can withstand extreme climatic conditions. The product by Ezviz also comes with the ability to send alerts about drastic changes in the weather outside.
