Renowned British explorer Hamish Harding, based in Dubai, has been fondly remembered as a "loving husband" and a "dedicated father" after his tragic demise during a Titanic expedition. The 58-year-old adventurer was among the five individuals who lost their lives following a "catastrophic implosion" of the submersible.
In a heartfelt statement released by Harding's company, Action Aviation, his family paid tribute to him as a unique individual who was deeply cherished. They described him as a passionate explorer who dedicated his life to his family, business, and the pursuit of new adventures.

Harding's family expressed immense pride in his remarkable lifetime achievements, which include three Guinness World Records. They found solace in the fact that he passed away while engaging in what he loved most. The family acknowledged and appreciated the extensive efforts of international search and rescue teams, industry colleagues, experts, and friends who joined forces to locate the missing crew. OceanGate, the organization responsible for the expedition, confirmed the loss of Harding, along with CEO Stockton Rush, Shahzada Dawood and his son Suleman Dawood, and Paul-Henri Nargeolet. Harding, a resident of the UAE for 15 years, was a highly accomplished aviator who ventured into both space and the ocean depths. His notable accomplishments included the record-breaking circumnavigation of the world through the One More Orbit project, a commercial space flight aboard Blue Origin's New Shepard rocket, and reintroducing cheetahs from Namibia to India. He had also traveled to the Challenger Deep in the Mariana Trench, the deepest point on Earth, and visited the South Pole multiple times. Harding's extraordinary endeavors were recognized when he was inducted into the Living Legends of Aviation in 2022.
