Health Ministry: 1,366 services provided through Egyptian Hajj mission clinics in the Holy Lands

Egypt Today: CAIRO - 11 May 2026:The Ministry of Health and Population announced the provision of 1,366 medical services through the clinics of the Egyptian Hajj Medical Mission in the Holy Lands of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, from the beginning of the arrival of Egyptian pilgrims until Sunday evening, May 10.

Medical teams deployed among pilgrims

Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, confirmed that the general health of all Egyptian pilgrims in the Holy Lands is stable and good, and no outbreaks of infectious diseases have been detected among them. This is thanks to close coordination and continuous cooperation with the Saudi health authorities.

He added that the Egyptian medical mission teams are working around the clock to provide the best preventive and curative services, ensuring the safety and comfort of Egyptian pilgrims.

Providing Healthcare Services to Pilgrims

Dr. Ahmed Mustafa, head of the Egyptian Hajj Medical Mission, explained that the total number of services provided on May 10 reached 388, including 223 services in clinics in Medina and 165 services in clinics in Mecca.

He noted that four patients were discharged from Saudi hospitals after their health improved, while two patients remained in intensive care units in Medina, and five patients were admitted to hospitals in Mecca (two in intensive care, one in intermediate care, and two in inpatient wards).

Dr. Ahmed Mustafa expressed his sincere appreciation and gratitude for the outstanding medical care and prompt, professional support provided by Saudi hospitals to Egyptian pilgrims.

The Ministry of Health and Population affirms its continued monitoring of Egyptian pilgrims in their accommodations, along with ongoing and full coordination with Saudi health authorities, to ensure the health and safety of all pilgrims during their Hajj rituals.
