Mashable: The police released video footage of Leclerc chasing the suspects through the streets in his Ferrari.

Four people have been arrested in Italy in connection with the theft of a luxury watch from Formula One racer Charles Leclerc. The incident happened last year in the Tuscan seaside town of Viareggio, just before the Emilio Romagna Grand Prix. The suspects approached Leclerc while wearing motorcycle helmets and requested a selfie. After the photo, the Monegasque realized that the suspects who fled on a scooter had stolen his Richard Mille RM67 "Leclerc" bespoke watch from his wrist. The police released video footage of Leclerc chasing the suspects through the streets in his Ferrari.

On April 18, 2022, three men and one woman were arrested after an investigation that included reviewing multiple video surveillance pictures and questioning various witnesses. The suspects were identified as the two people on the scooter, who were traveling on a vehicle registered in the name of a figurehead, and two others in a nearby rented SUV. The couple is thought to have aided the scooter riders by preventing Leclerc from pursuing them immediately after the theft. After leaving the town, the suspects drove to Naples.

During the house searches, police discovered two valuable watches as well as €23,000 in cash. However, it is still unclear whether one of the discovered watches belongs to Leclerc.

The Formula One driver has had a tough start to the season, with only one completed race out of three. He had a DNF result in the first race held in Bahrain, and another one during the recent Australian Grand Prix. However, he managed to secure the seventh position in the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, the second race of the season.

Meanwhile, the defending champion, Max Verstappen, has shown dominance by winning two races and coming second in three circuits this year. In the Saudi Arabian GP, Sergio Perez of Red Bull took the first position, with Verstappen in second place. Fernando Alonso has helped the Aston Martin team make podium finishes in all races of the season so far.
