Here's what happened: India, UAE sign $3 billion LNG deal India signed a $3 billion deal to buy liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the United Arab Emirates (UAE). They pledged to double bilateral trade to $200 billion in six years and form a strategic defence partnership. Abu Dhabi state firm (ADNOC Gas) will supply 0.5 metric tons of LNG a year to India's Hindustan Petroleum Corp (HPCL) for ten years.

Nuclear reactors During the meeting, the two countries also agreed to explore partnerships in advanced nuclear technologies, including large reactors and small modular reactors. Support for AI Impact Summit The UAE President, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, also touched down on the topic of Artificial Intelligence (AI), expressing support for India's AI Impact Summit set to take place in February 2026. Terrorism and money laundering During the meeting, India and the UAE also signed a Strategic Defence Partnership Letter of Intent. The two countries will continue to strengthen co-operation under the FATF framework to counter terror financing and money laundering.
