Arabian Gulf Business Insight (AGBI) Dubai real estate developer Nobles has been selected to build a logistics and industrial city in Jordan.
Nobles, which has an office in Jordan, said Amman Logistics and Industrial City (Alic) would span over 525,000 square metres and be located south of Jordan’s capital.
Alic will offer spaces specifically designed to serve light and medium industries, logistics companies and distribution companies, Nobles said on its website.
Jordan’s industrial exports are projected to grow by around 7.5 percent in 2026, Jordan’s chamber of industry said in a January report.
The chamber said this growth would amount to an increase of nearly JD600 million ($845 million) this year compared with 2025.
Jordan has announced a number of initiatives to increase trade and investment. In December it revealed the first phase of a 25-year, large-scale project to build a green city. Amra City will be located 40km from Amman and 35km from Queen Alia airport.
In April Jordan and Saudi Arabia agreed to build a railway linking the two countries in an effort to boost cross-border trade and investment.
