https://today.lorientlejour.com/ :Lebanon will host the senior Asian Alpine Ski Championships in 2028 at the Mzaar Ski Resort in Kfar Dibian, the Lebanese Ski and Biathlon Federation confirmed to L'Orient-Le Jour on Thursday. The exact dates of the competition have not yet been announced.

This decision was announced the previous day by Freddy Keyrouz, president of the Lebanese Ski and Biathlon Federation, who also heads the Asian Ski Federation, during the Lebanese federation’s annual general assembly held at the headquarters of the Automobile and Touring Club of Lebanon (ATCL) in Kaslik.

At that time, Keyrouz praised the event as an opportunity to "strengthen Lebanon’s position on the Asian sports scene and showcase its ability to organize major international competitions," according to a statement from the federation relayed by the National News Agency (NNA).

This will not be the first time Lebanon hosts such a competition. Lebanon previously welcomed the 30th edition of the Asian Alpine Ski Championships in February 2022 at the same Kfar Dibian resort in Kesrouan. The Lebanese delegation stood out at that event, particularly thanks to Manon Ouaiss, who was crowned Asian champion in both slalom and giant slalom.
