Argentina recently honored Lionel Messi with a new record-breaking mural.

The 36-year-old football player captained his team Argentina to the 2022 FIFA World Cup win in the Gulf country Qatar.

The Argentine fulfilled his dream to add the final piece of silverware after Argentina’s 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar victory. Lionel Messi also completed his illustrious career and cemented his status as one of the biggest football players in history.

Following the World Cup victory, the football star has been adorned with several monuments across Argentina and the world to celebrate his achievement, with the latest being called- record-breaking.

Messi’s fans are now celebrating the latest achievements with the new record-breaking mural.

The latest mural of the football legend is reportedly the world’s largest mural and it also sets a record for its size.

As per Sportsbrief, Mural artist Andres Iglesias took the initiative and completed a mural of Lionel Messi. The gigantic mural features an image of the 36-year-old star player lifting the World Cup trophy.

As per the news outlet, the mural is the largest in the world. The artwork measures a record-breaking 75 meters in height and 40 meters in width. The talented artist paid tribute to the soccer icon by using 600 liters of paint along with 1,000 sprays.

The artist started working on the now-complete massive mural in March. The artwork will also reportedly be inaugurated on September 23, 2023. However, Messi’s presence is not yet confirmed.

Many Messi fans have now taken a dig at his rival Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal after Argentina unveiled the new mural.

Lionel Messi left Paris Saint-Germain this season and has now joined Inter Miami.
