Argentine legend Lionel Messi and his new team Inter Miami had a memorable outing on Wednesday morning.

Lionel Messi was recently named the new captain of the Major League Soccer (MLS) side Inter Miami.

All eyes were on Inter Miami and Lionel Messi as they played their second game against Atlanta United in the Leagues Cup campaign on Wednesday morning at DRV PNK Stadium.

Lionel Messi came out strong and proved his captaincy with two goals and an assist, leading Inter Miami to the knockout stage.

The Argentine footballer shined again in his first Inter Miami start, wearing the captain's armband.

Lionel Messi showed how impactful of a player he is by scoring twice and carving an assist against Atlanta United in the Leagues Cup. He now has a total of three goals in two games.

According to Goal, Messi with a pass from his longtime teammate Sergio Busquets gave Miami a 1-0 lead. The footballer made it 2-0 after a few minutes with his goal tally to three in 58 total minutes.

The 2022 FIFA World Cup-winning captain helped Inter Miami with a 3-0 lead by halftime, making it the first in club history. Inter Miami went on to win 4-0 against Atlanta United with a goal from Robert Taylor.

Inter Miami’s Wednesday game was a star-stunned event. David Beckham, DJ Khaled, and more celebs were spotted in the stands.
