Microsoft held a similar event last summer where it focused solely on Teams' capabilities for hybrid work.
Microsoft is gearing up for a new event on April 5th that will focus on Windows 11 capabilities for hybrid work. Apart from posting a page that simply declares "Windows powers the future of hybrid work," the corporation hasn't mentioned much about what you may expect. According to XDA, expect a lot of huge announcements from Panos Panay, the head of Microsoft's Windows team, in his keynote talk.
On top of that, the event page mentions three separate breakout sessions, all of which are likely to be centered towards productivity and collaboration, management, or security. Hybrid work has been a key priority for Microsoft in the past two years, so this makes a lot of sense.
Microsoft held a similar event last summer where it focused solely on Teams' capabilities for hybrid work. It was followed by more announcements in September. Almost every Microsoft event these days focuses on the future of work as a hybrid one. Since many people have been accustomed to working from home over the past two years, some see the advantages of a mix of in-person and remote work once life returns to normal.
While Windows 11 does integrate with Microsoft Teams, it is primarily intended for personal use. To use Teams for work or school purposes, you must download a separate version of the software. It's possible that this event may focus more on Windows 11's new Teams tools for hybrid work. Microsoft also just announced Search Highlights for Windows Insiders, which allows business users to view information about individuals within their organization. It wouldn't be surprising if this feature made an appearance at the event.
