If you are an astronomy enthusiast or love gazing at the stars for hours, Mleiha Archaeological Centre in Sharjah has launched a new experience for them, that too at their comfort zone.

The premier tourism and leisure destination from Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), has launched a new on-the-move sky watching experience—the mobile stargazing experience that will allow people to organise and enjoy exclusive stargazing sessions at the location of their preference.

The ‘mobile stargazing experience’ from Mleiha includes an HD telescope and the assistance of an expert guide, to the location that the guests get to choose. The session can accommodate up to 20 people at one time and will have a maximum duration of two hours after sunset.

A true treat for astronomy enthusiasts, the on-the-move activity will allow enthusiasts to observe the night sky wonders in their comfort zone. The stargazing session also promises fun and education together making it into an unforgettable science lesson for the young ones.

The experience can be booked for private sessions, group events, or also as a marvellous addition to various special occasions.

To book a session, one needs to share the location pin in advance to make sure that the location is fit for stargazing activity. The location needs to be accessible by 4x4 and should have a flat area covered in carpet in order to set up the telescope.

With keeping safety measures in mind, Shurooq ensures effective implementation of health and safety protocols for the experience, including following social distancing guidelines during the sessions.
