The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India(ICAI) (Dubai Chapter) has launched a radio show titled:  “News You Can Use” on Radio 106.2 Big FM. The show is aimed at keeping South Asian expat listeners from India and other countries abreast with news and views on matters affecting their daily lives, the release stated. The show will focus on various topics concerning UAE laws, government policies and regulations, innovation, employment, real estate, technology, education, finance and laws concerning the expats in the UAE. The show will air every Thursday afternoon between 1230 hrs. to 1330 hrs. with a repeat telecast every Saturday between 1230 hrs. to 1330 hrs.

Commenting on the new show, CA Naveen Sharma, Chairman, ICAI (Dubai Chapter), said: “As new reforms are implemented, the ICAI finds itself in a unique position as a facilitator to the transition. Following our direct interactions with the public through our other initiatives and talk shows, we realised there are a lot of unanswered questions that masses have on various subjects and this radio show is our attempt to empower the expat listeners with the right information from experts from various fields as well as breaking down crucial news that affects the daily lives of the people. Moreover, listeners’ feedback / opinion / specific questions, would be solicited along with what subjects/issues they want us to feature in future shows. It is our small way of giving back to the nation that has given us so much.”

The ICAI is the second largest accounting body in the world, with more than 250,000 members. The Dubai Chapter celebrated 35 years of excellence in the UAE this year.
