Browne has been at the agency for just 12 months, joining from The Martin Agency where she held the same role. She previously worked at Channel 4 and Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO.
Grey staff were made aware of her forthcoming departure in an all-agency email from chief executive Leo Rayman. He paid credit to her for launching Greyfest and bringing in the Metropolitan Police as a client.
In a statement, the agency said: "Olivia Browne will be leaving in June due to family circumstances. We’d like to thank Olivia for the dedication she’s shown to the agency over the last 12 months and wish her well in the future. We’ve started the process of finding a replacement."
About Browne:
Olivia Browne was appointed Managing Director in April 2017, joining from The Martin Agency where she held the same position. The appointment of Browne, who previously spent eight years in-house with 4Creative as well as nine years agency-side at AMV BBDO, reflects the agency’s ambition to pioneer different forms of creativity and problem solving.
She joined The Martin Agency London as its first Managing Director in April 2016, helping launch the U.S. agency in the UK. During her 10 year tenure at Channel 4’s in-house creative agency 4Creative, she worked across numerous culture-shaping campaigns. These included ‘Meet the Superhumans’, the campaign to promote the Paralympic Games in 2012, and its epic follow-up in 2016, 'We're the Superhumans' (Campaign's 2016 Campaign of the year). Both are powerful celebrations of ability beyond disability and brought about seismic shifts in attitudes to Paralympic sport and disability.
Her ability to make the impossible possible and her entrepreneurial spirit have been recognised by the industry, with Browne named one of the winners at 2016's Women of Tomorrow Awards, an initiative organised by the IPA and Campaign
