Pakistani family sets Guinness World Record for sharing same birthdays; goes viral

Mashable: Every member of this Pakistani family was born on the same day

As surreal as it may sound but a family of nine members in Pakistan has made it to the Guinness World Record for sharing the same birthdays.

An extraordinary Pakistani family is going viral on the internet for holding a Guinness World Record as all the members share the same birthday.

All the members of the Mangi family across different generations reportedly celebrate their birthdays together on 1 August.

According to Guinness World Records, the Mangi family residing in Larkana, Pakistan proudly celebrate their birthday in the month of August.

This unique Pakistani family of nine has made a world record for the “most family members born on the same day”. The family consists of the father and mother: Ameer Ali and Khudeja; and their seven children all aged between 19 to 30.

The seven Mangi children namely Sindhoo, Sasui, Sapna, Aamir, Ambar, Ammar, and Ahmar remarkably were born on the same day in different years.

However, August 1 also holds significance to the family as Ameer and Khudeja also celebrate their wedding anniversary on the same day. The couple married on their birthday in the year 1991 and exactly one year after their eldest daughter Sindhoo was born.

Moreover, the children of the Mangi family also hold one more record of “the most siblings born on the same day.” The Cummins family in the USA, with five children born on February 20 between the years 1952 and 1966 were the previous record holders.

This Pakistani family has created a stir on social media for the miraculous Guinness World Record.

After the family was awarded the Guinness World Records, Ameer said that being able to celebrate the birthday with his family on the same day has proven “to be very lucky.”
