Publicis Media has announced a restructure of its China leadership team in a bid to sharpen the group’s services. The changes will see Starcom CEO Sapna Nemani assume a new role as Publicis Media chief intelligence officer, while Spark Foundry CEO Scarlett Shih, will leave the company to pursue new endeavours.

PMX chief operating officer Wee Ching Ian will assume the combined role of China CEO of Starcom & Spark Foundry. Starcom Guangzhou managing director Ellen To has been appointed CEO of Zenith China.

The changes come hot on the hells of the promotion of Publicis Media China’s chief digital & innovation officer Vivian Zhu, who was appointed CEO Blue 449 China.

Publicis Media has also recently appointed new managing directors in Taiwan and Hong Kong, promoting ZenithOptimedia Taiwan managing director Irene Chang and Publicis Media Hong Kong CFO David Chan. Bertilla Teo, CEO of Publicis Media Greater China, said, “The changes are part of the plan to sharpen Publicis Media’s transformation agenda in: client interaction, experience, tools, platforms and investments.”

“We continue to be a people business. We invest in talent and promote from within the network. Our transformation is not complete and we have a lot to do,” said Teo.

The moves mark the latest in a raft of management changesacross the Publicis Groupe network this year in preparation for the change of leadership as Arthur Sadoun replaced Maurice Levy as chief executive.
