https://emiratitimes.com/ :Abu Dhabi: PureHealth has partnered with the Family Development Foundation (FDF) to launch Healthy Horizons, a community outreach program focused on preventive care, healthy aging and digital health inclusion for Emirati senior citizens in Abu Dhabi.
The initiative brings healthcare and community support closer to older adults through screenings, specialist-led workshops, physical activity and digital health services.
The program is being delivered in collaboration with the Emirates Foundation, Active Abu Dhabi and PureHealth entities including SEHA, SEHA Clinics, Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC) and SAKINA. It is designed to support early identification of health risks, timely intervention and continued access to care.
Healthy Horizons focuses on several key health priorities for Emirati senior citizens, including geriatric medicine, chronic disease management, vision health, sleep quality and mental well-being. Participants can receive free preventive screenings, practical health guidance, specialist-led sessions and guided physical activities.
The initiative also includes assisted onboarding to Pura, PureHealth’s AI-powered health companion. The digital platform is intended to help participants access healthcare services and remain connected with their care beyond community outreach sessions.
Initial engagement is already underway, with PureHealth conducting free preventive screenings and helping senior citizens access the Pura platform. The initiative also benefits from the contribution of 54 trained PureHeroes volunteers, who have provided more than 270 service hours to support community-based delivery.
The collaboration reflects a broader focus on improving the quality of life and well-being of senior citizens while strengthening family and community support. The FDF has emphasized the importance of helping seniors remain active and engaged members of society, while PureHealth is positioning preventive care and early intervention as important elements of long-term healthy aging.
Healthy Horizons forms part of PureHealth’s broader longevity and senior health strategy and complements dedicated geriatric services, including the Barakatna Clinic at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City, which was launched in December 2025 in partnership with the Department of Community Development and FDF.
The program also aligns with the UAE’s National Policy for Senior Citizens and the objectives of Centennial Plan 2071 by supporting preventive healthcare, digital readiness and sustainable community well-being. It complements the Barakatna initiative, which aims to enhance the quality of life of senior citizens and strengthen family cohesion and social solidarity.
Healthy Horizons is structured as a recurring outreach model and is expected to expand to additional communities, broaden screening coverage and strengthen digital follow-up. Through this approach, PureHealth and FDF aim to create a more connected model of senior care that supports early intervention, continued engagement and long-term health outcomes.
