Mashable: Executives from Qatar toured Old Trafford and Carrington on Thursday
Qatari billionaire Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani will reportedly make a second bid to take over Manchester United.
On Thursday, the Qatari billionaire’s team recently held positive talks with club officials which lasted 10 hours.
As per Daily Mail, the team was also given a tour of Old Trafford and presentations at Carrington.
Qatari Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani will now launch an improvised second bid for the Man United club after his executives got a tour of Old Trafford and Carrington training complex on Thursday.
A high-level team of representatives of Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani held positive, cordial, and extensive talks with club officials in the city.
As per the report, the Sheikh will now have around 10 days to make a new bid to seek total control over Man United.
While Sheikh Jassim was not present for the talks, the president of the Nine Two Foundation, Shahzad Shahbaz and Fady Bakhos, the Sheikh’s senior personal advisor were there at the discussion.
The two were also joined by the global head of technology, media and telecoms at Bank of America, Sam Powers and Yasir Shah, a managing director with the same company. The company is overseeing the financial element of the Qatar-based bid.
The party were shown around the club's iconic home which needs substantial investment and was met by senior members of Raine Group, which is overseeing the process.
The rival bidder Sir Jim Ratcliffe will make similar presentations along with members of the bid team from his Ineos company on Friday.
While Ratcliffe’s group wants to take a majority stake, Sheikh Jassim wants 100 per cent of the club.
