On Thursday, Xiaomi owned Redmi unveiled the K50 series smartphone in its home country, China. The newly launched lineup comprises Redmi K50 and Redmi K50 Pro smartphones and both these handsets come equipped with a plethora of features. Let’s take a look at the specifications and pricing of the all-new Redmi K50 series smartphones.
Redmi K50, Redmi K50 Pro: Specifications
The Redmi K50 Pro comes equipped with a WQHD+ AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 1440p and a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass for protection. The handset draws its power from a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset which is backed by a Mali-G710 GPU and is paired with up to 512 GB internal storage capacity.
The newly launched Redmi K50 Pro handset is backed by a 5,000 mAh battery that has support for 120 W fast charging and it takes just 19 minutes to charge from 0 to 100 percent. Talking about the camera, the Redmi K50 Pro has a main camera of 108 megapixel at the back with Optical image stabilisation.
On the other hand, the Redmi K50 gets its power from a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chipset and the display is the same as in the Redmi K50 Pro handset. However, this handset comes with a bigger 5,500 mAh battery as compared to the Pro variant and the battery has support for 67 W fast charging.
Redmi K50, Redmi K50 Pro: Price and availability
The newly launched Redmi K50 is priced at CNY 2,399 which is roughly Rs 28,644 in Indian currency for the 8 GB/128 GB internal storage capacity variant while the 8 GB RAM/256 GB internal storage capacity and the 12 GB RAM/256 GB internal storage capacity variants will cost you CNY 2,599 and CNY 2,799 which are roughly Rs 31,031 and Rs 33,419 respectively in Indian currency.
The Redmi K50 Pro will cost you CNY 2,999 which is roughly Rs 35,807 in Indian currency for the 8 GB RAM/128 GB internal storage capacity variant. The 8 GB RAM/256 GB internal storage capacity and 12 GB RAM/512 GB internal storage capacity variants of the Redmi K50 Pro are priced at CNY 3,299 and CNY 3,999 which are roughly Rs 39,389 and Rs 47,747 in Indian currency respectively.
